I'm getting a New Cell Phone!

I've been using Hubby's old phone.

I hate it.

Hubby wanted me to keep a phone that had beep-beep (direct connect; we have Nextel phones)

So last night, Hubby called to order me the i880, but they wouldn't give him the discount or something.

So he told me I could get the phone I wanted that didn't have beep-beep. It's a Samsung M510. It's PINK, so it's so me and It's soooo cute, plus it's was on special, so it was FREE!

It should be here Tuesday. I'm so excited, cuz here's the phone I was toting:

Upcoming Easter Pageant

Princess is going to be in a Easter Pageant on March 15th. I went and bought her a dress at Dillard's on Friday night. I didn't get to try it on her at the store because LittleMan had to potty. So I got it home and tried it on her Saturday, just to find out that it was too small.

=(

So, I went back to Dillard's today and picked out a new one, because they didn't have her size in the other. And this time I tried it on her before I paid.

=)

She's gonna be sooooo cute!

Now I just have to get her outside and take some headshots for the Photogenic part of the pageant. We're gonna try that tomorrow. I'll add pictures, because I know I'm gonna need help deciding which to use. I'm wanting to get the pictures taken soon, because I have to turn it in by March 5th. I want plenty of time to decide!

A Good Day

Today has turned out to be a pretty darn good day ... so far. =)

Today is my Papaw's birthday! He is now 68 years old, but he doesn't look it at all! He lives about 200 miles away from me or I would go takes pictures =)

Me & the kids went to the thrift store & got me some goodies this morning.

LittleMan lost his FIRST TOOTH! He pulled it all by himself!

Princess was kind of upset that she didn't have cleats or a glove & then that she couldn't go on the field with LittleMan. But she had fun running around the place.

LittleMan is going to stay the night at his bff's house tonight, so that makes him happy too!

Yep ... a pretty good day. I hope the rest of the day goes as well!

Lunar Eclipse

Did anyone else see the lunar eclipse last night? It was happening here at my house between 9:01 and 9:51 pm.

It was the first time I've got to see one. I woke Hubby up and made him come outside and see it with me. It was his first time to see one too.

We snuggled for a few minutes, it was romantic even though it wasn't a big deal. It's just amazing, that after being together for almost 10 years now, we still have "firsts".

Thursday Thirteen

13 Things I could do today if it wasn't raining:

1. Take Princess out to play on the swing set

2. Practice T-Ball with LittleMan

3. Clean up the yard .... yeah right =)

4. Wash my car

5. Not be so Sluggish & Sleepy

7. Let the dog in ... he's already all wet, I don't want wet smelly dog in the house

8. Go to the store ... I hate driving in the rain

9. Get more housework done ... did I mention the rain makes me lazy?

Longing for warmer weather....

With all the warm days lately, I stopped picking through Princess' summer boxes and finally unloaded them all. Oh, all the cute things she will wear this year!

Some in thanks to my SIL D, who passes her girls' (ages 7 & 5) clothes to us, my SIL B who passes her daughter's (age 4) clothes too, and of course my love of thrift stores.

I couldn't resist taking some pictures of my sweet Princess with the outifits on.

O Summer, hurry up, will ya?




BTW, I can't believe I haven't even posted this before, But Congrats to my SIL B who is expecting her second baby in August. She finds out what she's having March 4th.
Who knows, she may get all the goodies sent back her way, with all my additions!

Weekend Update

Me & Hubby decided that with our income tax, I would get $1000 to do whatever I wanted, some for the kids and $1200 for him to get a custom saddle built.

Friday, as I was headed to the mall to go shopping with my remaining $700, he called me and told me that he had taken his truck to be serviced and had his brakes checked. {He had a hunch a while that they needed fixed}

Anyway, there was a shit load of problems with his brake system and I had to go home to let him know exactly how much money was in the bank, etc.

Long story short, he spent every $$ of our regular money {including our money to spent at the rodeo in a couple weeks} and took all mine!!!! I understand that he doesn't need to be driving his truck if the brakes are messed up, but listen to the best part....

He kept his $1200!! He said it's because that guy has already started on his saddle. But when I asked him if he knew for sure, he said no. I asked him to call him, he called me back and said he couldn't get ahold of him but left a msg. And as of today, Monday, he still hasn't returned Hubby's call.

U know, he "knew" something was UP with his brakes, but he convienently had his saddle started before having the brakes checked ??? What the hell?

We have since spent some of his, he needed horse feed and other stuff, but for the most part, he is still going to get his $1200 saddle.

It's just not fair.

I know life is not fair.

But still.

Do you feel my pain??

So he got his truck fixed and he's all happy now.

Anyway......

Saturday, I took LittleMan and signed him up for his second year of TBall. All he did was complain that I didn't let him play football last August. So this August I guess he's playing football. His draft is next Saturday. Then the kids had 2 birthday parties to go to. Princess didn't go to the 1st one, and I made Hubby take LittleMan to it by himself. Me & Princess went to WalMart for her to spend her Valentine's $$ from the grandparents. She bought a Diego movie.
My BFF came over later and got both the kids to take them to the 2nd party.

Sunday, we had severe thunderstorms again. So I spent the entire day in the house cleaning. Before the storms hit, the kids were going places with Hubby. The news says Prattville got tore up pretty badly. Last night at 930pm, Hubby's boss called to tell him that he would be on storm duty at 5am this morning. So he will probably be gone til Tuesday night or longer.

And Tuesday is my Daddy's birthday. It's gonna be a rough day. Even though he's been gone for over 2 years, it's not gotten any easier.

This morning around 3am, LittleMan woke me up. He was throwing up in his bed. [my poor baby] and has since been throwing up about every hour. So of course, he missed school. He is just laying here on the loveseat sleeping with a garbage can next to him in the floor. =(

I had to call A. and tell her not to bring Baby Boy over cuz LittleMan is contagious. So I won't have Baby Boy until Thursday..... I hope it doesn't affect my pay.

Hope everyone else had a better weekend then I did.

Valentine's Day

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's holiday yesterday. And for those of you who will be celebrating this weekend, Have Fun!

I had previously posted that I didn't have any plans. Well, me & my BFF went shopping ALL DAY! It was soooo fun & great to be with her!

Hubby called while we were shopping, wanting to get a babysitter to go out to eat. It shocked me, because I figured he would want to stay home since he had worked all day and he's usually stressed at the end of the week. {Thursday is the end of the work week for him}

So SIL "R" kept the kids and we went out to LongHorn. There was a 60-75 minute wait. After waiting about 10 minutes, some of our friends (actually cousins) showed up. They had called in earlier to get on the list. {They never let us do that when we try, and especially on V-Day: had me confused.}

So they were only there about 5 minutes before they were called in. =(

But after about 5-10 minutes, they sent for us to sit with them. =)

We had never been out to eat with them, and it had been a while since we've even seen them, so it was a great time!

We picked the kids up around 930pm and headed home.

It was a Great Day!!

King of Hearts

As most of you know, LittleMan was running for King of Hearts and last night was the ceremony.

Well....

He didn't win. But he wasn't too bummed.

He was excited about getting a new trophy.

We took him out to eat at Applebee's because he's always complaining that when we go to Applebee's, we never take him with us.

So we took him, My little Prince of Hearts
and my Princess

And of course, as usual, we couldn't get Andy to be in our family picture.

One day he will regret that.

My hair is back in the picture, because I kept Baby Boy, I didn't have time to fix my hair all pretty. But at least I got a shower, and got makeup on! So I didn't embarrass & scar LittleMan in front of his peers, lol.

Mixed Drinks

With the weekend coming up & Valentine's Day too, here's some of my favorite mixed alcoholic drinks:

Watermelon Margarita
Ingredients:

16 oz. seeded & blended watermelon

1/2 Lime

6 oz. Tequila

3 oz. Triple Sec

1 Tbsp. sugar

Mixing instructions:
Cut up watermelon, removing seeds. Liquify in blender until you have about 16 oz. Add remaining ingredients, top with ice and blend until smooth. Taste and add sugar if watermelon is not sweet enough. This works well with sugar on the rim of the glass.
{If you go to LongHorn, you can get this drink with watermelon flavored sugar on the glass rim!}

Hurricane
Ingredients:

1 oz. Vodka

1 oz. Gin

1 oz. light rum

1/2 oz. 151 proof Rum (optional)

1 oz. Amaretto

1 oz. Triple Sec

Grapefruit juice

Pineapple juice

Grenadine

Mixing instructions:
Pour gin, rum(s), amaretto, and triple sec into a tall hurricane-style glass with ice. Add equal amounts of grapefruit juice and pineapple juice until almost full. Top with grenadine to taste.

Buttery Nipple

Ingredients:

1/2 shot Butterscotch schnapps

1/2 shot Bailey's irish cream

Mixing instructions:
The Butterscotch Schnapps makes up the bottom layer. The top layer of Baileys should be added using a spoon. This is a layered shot. Delicious!!

Sex on the Beach

Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz. peach schnapps

1 1/2 oz. Vodka

2 oz. cranberry juice

2 oz. orange juice

2 oz. pineapple juice

Mixing Instructions:

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a tall glass filled with ice.

Catch Up

Friday I went with R, my SIL to the movie theater. We watched National Treasure 2. I really didn't want to go, I was sick & I was tired and it was the 9pm show. Plus, I never seen National Treasure 1. But since I never get to go hardly anywhere without the kids, and I rarely get to spend time with R, I went anyway.

It was a good movie. I really enjoyed it. But it just wasn't my kind of movie. I still don't plan on watching part 1.

Early this morning, we had severe storms roll through Bama. They cancelled school today for our area. It didn't get too bad at our house, but it was scary watching the news. Hubby had already left for work before it started up here. So having him gone was probably the main reason it got scary for me.

LittleMan is enjoying his day off. He's already woke Baby Boy up twice and I've wanted to lock him in his room. I personally think they should have just started school late ......

Tomorrow I have an appointment at my dentist for a cleaning. And I can't find anyone to keep Princess, so I guess she's gonna have to go with me. I hope she behaves while we're there.

And I have Baby Boy again Friday. This is my first week keeping him more than 3 days, so my pay increases too. YAY!

Hubby & LittleMan will be camping/horse riding this weekend, so what are me & Princess doing ??? You guessed it .... Thrift Store!
