Bucket List

My Bucket List:

1. Overcome my fear of horses - Yes, you read that right. I am afraid of horses. Yes, Me, the woman with a cowboy husband and cowboy son and three horses in the family. Don't confuse this with the dislike of horses ... I very much like to look at horses, take pictures of them and sometimes even pet them, if they are on the other side of a fence. And I have ridden them, just not without the feeling that my heart might actually bounce out of my chest at any given moment.

2. Get Healthier - I am an extremely picky eater. Always have been, always will be. But that doesn't mean I should have goldfish for breakfast and cookies for lunch. Yes, I have went there. Plus, with all my health problems, I need all the help I can get. I need to make myself cut out all the junk. And I will have to MAKE myself start exercising more. More? What am I saying. I will have to make myself start exercising, period.

3. Learn Patience - I have two beautiful kids ... that drive me nuts. Why? Because I can't count to 10 and hold it in. e.g. I didn't grow up with brothers or sisters, so it's hard to realize that my 6 year old just doesn't automatically know how to act sometimes. I need to teach him, and my daughter. I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO TEACH THEM, without breaking down.

4. Actually becoming a organized grown-up. - Oh I used to be organized. Before I got married. Before I had kids. Before I lost my identity. I was the most organized teenager you'd ever see. What happen? I grew up and had a family. I know there's time here somewhere to get organized and stay that way. But organizing four people instead of one, that's what I don't know.

5. Learn to cook with fresh spices. - I can cook pretty well. I just don't have the time or skill to cook all fancy. But I could!

6. Go on a really great family vacation. - We've never taken the kids on vacation. Hell, we haven't been on a vacation since our honeymoon. That's almost nine years! Yeah count them, nine whole years without a trip to the beach, or to the mountains, or anywhere. Family visits & family reunions not included.

7. Go to College - Nope, I never went. Thought I'd take a year off. Uh huh. Ended up married instead. After two years, I was settled down in my married life, then I got pregnant with LittleMan. Then three years after that, got pregnant with Princess.

8. Learn a foreign language. - I took a year of Spanish in high school. I still remember a little of what I learned. But I would love to actually speak Spanish. Especially in today's USA.

9. Write a book. - I don't know what about ... yet. But I've always wanted to be a writer.

10. Really and Truly be Happy with Myself - That's a long road.

The End.
