Sick again

Well this is the 5th time in a month that I've been sick. Everytime, the sickness is pretty much the same, with some little differences. Little Man had it once for only for a few hours. Princess had it once, worse than Little Man's, but it only lasted til noon. My hubby hasn't had anything, but I've had it 5 times?!?

I'm so tired of being sick and I can't figure out what is causing it. I am feeling much better now, the worse parts ended around 7:15 this morning, lasting about 2 hours.

I wonder if Little Man is bringing something home from school, but only passing it to me? But why wouldn't I get sick on Saturday until waiting til Monday?

Or is it something to do with my meds? I'm on 2 heart meds, 1 blood pressure med, Prilosec OTC everyday. I'm also suppose to take Lasix & potassium, but I kinda don't take it like I'm suppose to. It's probably been over a month since I've taken it. I don't think not taking my Lasix is making me sick, because I haven't been putting on too much fluid weight ... I just don't know what to think.

My MIL says that sometimes after you've been taking a med for so long, it can cause certain things to happen. I don't know about that though. I've been on my meds for over 2 years and never had trouble before.

Anyhoo, I'm feeling pretty crappy today, so my blog kinda sucks, lol. What really sucks is I need to be keeping the house clean and stuff like that since we are leaving out either Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Well, I hope everyone else is having a better day than me. I'm gonna go lay down and watch tv. =)

Christmas Frenzy

We decided to only buy for the kids in our family this year, since we have such a large family. So shopping was a lot quicker and easier. It also made it more fun to buy for our kids, since we had more to spend on them.

It's really hard to go cheap on Christmas present nowadays. Nothing really good is under $20 a piece anymore. Which is why I do still have to buy the stuff for our stockings. But with the extra $ to spend on Little Man & Princess, we were able to buy more than 1-2 big things and a bunch of smaller things.

Little Man is getting a new bike that looks like a motorcycle, a reading & writing LeapPad with 3 extra games, a Batman ColorWonder kit, a book & drawing pad teaching him to draw "Cars" characters, a cowboy hat, a cowboy belt with a bull buckle, and "Shrek 3".

Princess is getting a Disney Princess bike, My First LeapPad with 3 extra games, Dora ColorWonder Kit, a talking Dora book, set of 6 books about Disney Princesses, a cowgirl belt with a horse buckle, and a Disney Princess Playhut tent.

For those hard-to-figure out stocking stuffers so far, Little Man has some cards games & Princess has some big girl Disney Princess panties {we plan to start potty training after the holidays}. Hopefully I will come up with more ideas soon!

I know that this year is gonna be the funnest Christmas so far. Princess is finally old enough to enjoy it. Last year was pretty good, but at a year old, I'm not sure she got the idea. So this year is gonna rock!

It's Finally Friday

It is? Already? Wow, I love the weekend, but has this week flew by or what?

My hubby is working today, which is unusual, he doesn't normally work on Fridays. {He usually works Monday thru Thursday, 10 hour days} but they were off Monday for Veterans's Day.

He already has his plans for the weekend though. Camping & horse riding .... again. He's taking Little Man. They're leaving tonight. Which means me and little Princess are gonna be home alone .... again.

I want him to have his own time and have fun, but what about me? I already stay home all day with Miss Princess, while my hubby's at work and Little Man is at school. Now, a whole weekend of the same, gets kind of old.

Now, don't get me wrong, I love spending time with Princess, but she can't even speak in complete sentences yet. I need adult interaction! Is that too much to ask?

In his defense, he has invited me to go with. Let's see ..... sleep in the woods ... in this cold weather .... sit around while he rides horses {I don't ride and don't wanna} .... all while tending to my 2 year old Princess .... with nothing to do ??? Hmmm, I don't think so. Thanks anyway.

I guess I need to be spending my time cleaning & getting ready to pack for our Thanksgiving trip next week. Who doesn't want to do that?!?

Psshhh, guess I'm just in a grumpy mood.

Weird Day

I found this movie "Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron" at a variety store over the weekend. It was used, but in great condition and it was only $3.50. My kids are horse freaks, so I thought this would be perfect for them. Especially my Princess, who is 2 years old and stays home with Mommy all day.
I haven't noticed this with any other movie, and thought it was quite cute the first time it happen when watching the movie. If you haven't seen this cartoon, the "4 legged" humans get pretty mean throughout the film. The first time I watched it, I teared up. But then, I cry everytime I watch "A Baby Story".
But Princess, who will not sit and watch a whole movie, sat .... and watched the movie. I remember looking over at her when I started tearing up and noticed she was tearing up also. She looked back at me, next thing I knew she was crying her little heart out. I rushed over to her and held her. She looked up at me and said, "mean". Then she pointed at the men on the show and said "Bad". I almost cried just listening to the emotion coming out of my baby! I never before had seen her act like this about ..... well, anything!
I told my hubby about it and he wanted to watch it, so we rewatched it that night. She again, whined a bit, but finished the movie without any tears.
So .... today, she asked to watch it again. I didn't see why not. But .. I didn't forsee what was about to happen. This time, she cryed, Very loudly, through almost the entire movie! She wouldn't let me turn it off. Every time I did turn it off, she screamed even louder! So I let her finish watching it.
It has me wondering quite a bit. Should I let her watch it again? I think I will hide it for a little while and see if she asks for the horse movie.
It was touching to see her so concerned for this animal in the cartoon. I know she will be a compassionate and caring woman when she grows up.

Celebrating Thanksgiving

It happens every year. We finally make it through the holidays, and can breathe! Next thing ya know, it's that time again! It gets here so fast, and goes by even faster!

Thanksgiving is only 8 days away! Although Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, I always dread the traveling, traffic & bouncing from house to house for visiting different parts of the family. I hardly get to enjoy the holiday!

This year we are leaving Thanksgiving morning and heading to my Grandmother's house where we usually spend Thanksgiving Day. I am the oldest of only 4 grandchildren and my 2 kids are the only grandchildren for my Mother, and the only great-grandchildren for my Grandparents. Time with us is the one of the best things about holidays for them. It only makes sense to me to spend the actual *Thanksgiving Day* with them.

{My husband's parents are both remarried and he has a total of 7 brothers & sisters, not including spouses}

After a couple days, we head over to my husband's Mom & Step-dad's house, where we have lots of brothers & sisters & nieces & nephews & cousins, etc. We spend the remaining time there until it's time to head back home.

Then it's time to get my son ready to go back to school the next day, and my husband to go back to work. Holiday Over.
